System Requirements

Ensure the following before installing the Transcription Manager

• All the machines must be in domain
• Administrative or Power user rights and DCOM permissions have to be given to all computers. Click here for help document.
• (Recommended) Use 2 PC’s one for installing TM Service another for installing document manager to balance the load in the network and server.

TM SERVICE (TM service is the server software that needs to be installed on your server)

• Server must be windows 2000 server or above version with all latest service packs.
• SQL 2005 express edition or above edition should be installed in mixed mode. Click here to download install by following installation manual.
  (Dot Net framework 2.0 needs to be installed before you install SQL 2005)
• Ms-office 2003 or above version needs to be installed fully with latest service packs.
• Now, download Transcription Manager 2.0. And install by following installation manual.

(Note: During installation select service only)

DOCUMENT MANAGER (Document manager is the software that counts the lines, compares documents for quality etc)

• System must be windows 2000 or above version will all service packs installed. This can be installed on service pc or any individual pc as well.
• Please install ms-office 2000 or above version with all service packs installed.
• For installation use the same set up used for installation of tm service.

(Note: During installation select document manager only)

TM ADMIN (TM admin is the software that will be accessed by the administrative staff who download the dictations and allot and supervise.)

• System must be windows 2000 or above version with all latest service packs installed.
• Please install .net framework 2.0 before you install admin.
• Please install ms-office 2000 or above version with all service packs installed.
• For installation use the same setup used for installation of TM service.

TM CLIENT (TM Client is the software that is used by transcriptionists and quality analysts.)

• System must be windows 98 or above version with all service packs installed.
• Please install ms-office 2000 or above version with all service packs installed.
• For installation use the same set up used for installation of tm service...
• Download client user manuals to educate yourself about the usage.

(Note: In custom set up page of installation select client only)

Activating your free Account

To get Free version of Enterprise TM (10 users).

1) Click on My Account, on the right top menu of the website to login.

2) To request a Free version. Click on Enterprise TM Icon.

3) Now Install the TM service with the help of TM Installation guide.

4) Then it would ask you for sql server name (give the name of the computer where sql is installed or click browse button to get sql server name), sql server user name and password (that you have given while installing sql server) and give a database name of your choice (don’t use any symbols in the database name and must be 3 characters minimum). To maintain backup your files choose a local folder(i.e TM FTP folder) you can give any path of your choice. Now click on UPDATE button. Then it would confirm the database name.

5) Now you can see a green icon on the right corner of your task bar. Ensure a green monitor TM service icon is in the task bar every time you start TM service. If the icon is not green either wait for sometime till it turns green or contact customer support.
